Full-flow reverse circulation junk basket is similar to standard reverse circulation junk basket and is also used to catch small junk down hole. The difference is that full-flow type has a valve structure that allows circulation through the center to keep out shale or debris while running in hole. A drain through the tool eliminates the possibility of pulling a wet string even though the inner barrel is plugged by the core. Double stage junk catchers are used in each assembly. A lifting sub is provided for ease of handling which includes a storage space for the steel ball used in the operation of the tool. It is also converted into a fishing magnet by replacing the catchers with a magnet insert. Alternate shoes available are the type B and type C. The type B and C mill shoe is similar in design to type A but dressed with tungsten carbide.
